I was yelled at by one of my readers (my ONLY reader?) that I need to be more disciplined with my blogs. Naturally, I waited a week before responding!

The 2005 Free State Project PorcFest took place last week in Lancaster, NH. It is difficult to describe how invigorating it is to be amidst 400 (!) libertarians and liberty seekers in the same zip code, much less the same RV park!

It was great meeting a half dozen characters from the Claire Files forum, including Rhinoman, Hunter, and one whose name escapes me.

Listening to Jim Bovard was great - he speaks as eloquently as he writes.

But the crowning moment was when we zipped down to Plymouth to attend the NHLA (New Hampshire Liberty Alliance) dinner which was attended by none other than Congressman Ron Paul, aka "Dr. NO!"

I have never before felt the urge to take one of those vicarious, "I'm important because I met senator or congressperson so-and-so". But I definitely wanted to get one with Ron Paul, as he is the only honest man in Washington.



Yes, that's a Looney-Toons tie I'm wearing. Dr. Paul was an excellent speaker, as well. He said when he gets unelected by his current district that he'll move to NH! Since he's an honest man, I will take him at his word.
